The year for EuropeActive’s EU affairs team starts traditionally with the ERASMUS + Sport Info Day, on January 30, 2018 organised by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) to inform potential applicants about the Erasmus+: Sport programme. Sport INFO day was opened by the European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, Tibor Navracsics and attended by more than 700 participants in the Charlemagne Building of the European Commission. Following this significant event, the members of House of Sport welcomed interested stakeholder organisations from the Sport and Physical Activity field for a cocktail reception. It has been a very well received evening with more occasions to happen in the near future.
The Kick-off meeting for newly funded projects starting in January 2018 was hosted the following day by the EACEA to bring together project coordinators and introduce them to the details of project administration and coordination. EuropeActive attended the event with two participants as two new projects are under the way: Let’s #BEACTIVE to promote physical activity and the Blueprint project with the aim to develop a sector strategy to boost skills and employment in the Active Leisure sector.
