The European Commission’s annual Education and Training Monitor finds that Member States have made further progress to improve their education and training systems.
On 19th October 2017, EuropeActive EU affairs team attended the Conference organised by the European FOOD programme at the European Parliament with a key focus on healthy habits at workplace. The aim was to present the results of the 5-year barometers of the programme launched in the member countries towards thousands of employees and restaurant owners regarding healthy eating offer and demand throughout Europe. The second session included a discussion about the opportunities and the potential of new technologies in supporting healthy eating promotion.
The conference, attended by high-level speakers from different Directorate Generals of the European Commission (DG SANTE, DG CONNECT,etc) and the World Health Organisation confirmed the interest of the European Institutions and the EU to focus on and better promote active and healthy lifestyles.
