Member States’ ministers for Sport adopted conclusions on the economic dimensions of sport and its socio-economic benefits.
The European Commission (DG EAC & EACEA) organised the first Cluster meeting on Health-Enhancing Physical Activity (HEPA) on 4th & 5th December 2017 in Brussels. The event brought together all EU projects selected under the Erasmus+ Programme – Sport Collaborative Partnerships in the area of EU Physical Activities Guidelines from 2014 to 2016.
EuropeActive’s President Sir Graham Watson has been invited to moderate the round table discussion on policy developments in the field of HEPA and reported in the “sum-up” session the results with the rapporteurs followed by concluding remarks by the Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, Tibor Navracsics. The cluster meetings are part of the EU Workplan for Sport 2017-2020 among further conferences and expert groups addressing integrity of sport, the economic dimension, and sport and society.
