EuropeActive is actively contributing to the EU Platform for action on Diet, Physical Activity and Health since 2015. Today, November 30, 2017, EuropeActive’s director of programmes, Cliff Collins is presenting one of the two new Erasmus+ co-funded actions, starting in January 2018 to the platform. The Let’s #BEACTIVE project will run for 3 years and with the support of 8 national fitness associations, it will engage more than 60,000 Europeans in structured 6-weeks exercise interventions and health counselling. After the PAHA project, this will be EuropeActive’s 2nd commitment to the platform.
The EU platform for action on diet, physical activity and health is a forum for European-level organisations, ranging from the food industry to consumer protection NGOs, willing to commit to tackling current trends in diet and physical activity.
