Member States’ ministers for Sport adopted conclusions on the economic dimensions of sport and its socio-economic benefits.
The European Week of Sports is very intense for everyone. While Europeans are enjoying fitness activities, EuropeActive EU affairs team is participating meetings and conferences including:
- The House of Sport Annual Conference in Brussels Town Hall (25.9.17) with a focus this year on “Sport innovation for healthy lifestyle”.
- The Sport Intergroup meeting in the European Parliament (26.9 17) on the topic of “Sport, Health and Nutrition challenges and opportunities for Europe”. Sir Graham Watson, President of EuropeActive reminded the importance of the #BEACTIVE Week – as the European Week of Sport celebrates physical activity in all its forms! – and called for a broader campaign to make sure the #BEACTIVE message will be used all year long.
- The ENGSO Sport conference on the power of grassroots sports (27.9.17) to include, empower, integrate and tackle radicalisation.
- The “Active Schools, Active Kids” (29.09.17) is a conference with the presentation of the first panorama on school sport in the European Union.
