The FIBO Business Summit Africa presented the future of fitness to the African continent

The 1st FIBO Business Summit Africa was conducted on Wednesday 8 November in the Emperors Palace, Ekurhuleni, South Africa. It brought together key stakeholders in the fitness, wellness and health industry to share expert knowledge in order to help the African health & fitness market to grow.

The highly engaging and high-level 2-day conference for International Fitness sector, powered by EuropeActive, was accompanied by an expo aimed at decision makers across the fitness, wellness and health sector. It consisted of two parts: A Fitness Business Conference with international and local speakers and an Exhibition with free demo’s and workshop sessions.

Overall, The FIBO Business Summit is a huge step in developing fitness facilities in Africa and future international cooperation.

Fitness is the largest participant sport. The sector serves nearly 60 million consumers, generates 26.6 billion Euro in revenues, employs 650,000 people, and consists of 59,055 facilities.
