The last meeting of the Advisory Group on Education of the Monitoring Group of the Anti-Doping Convention of the Council of Europe was on the 7-8 March 2018 in Dublin.
The monitoring group is in charge of following the implementation of the Anti-Doping Convention of the Council of Europe. In order of dealing with issues relevant to different areas of competence, the Monitoring Group has 4 specialized groups:
- The Advisory Group on Compliance (T-DO COMP)
- The Advisory Group on Education (T-DO ED)
- The Advisory Group on Legal Issues (T-DO LI)
- The Advisory Group on Science (T-DO SCI)
The participants discussed the International Standard for Education, recently published by WADA, which will be implemented by the NADOs. So, this is a start of a long process which will lead policy makers to have effective standards of education representing a model for any actions regarding anti-doping in the future.
FAIR Project partners are currently involved in the Anti-Doping Convention activities. The meeting in Dublin and other occasions related to the Convention, represent a great opportunity for this EuropeActive's FAIR project to be promoted in a very high level context. Moreover, for EuropeActive these international meetings are a tool to get to know our commitment against doping at the international level and start new fruitful collaborations.
