Member States’ ministers for Sport adopted conclusions on the economic dimensions of sport and its socio-economic benefits.
EuropeActive will participate to the 8th Conference of HEPA Europe on November 15 to 17, 2017 in Zagreb, Croatia. The event is hosted by the Faculty of Kinesiology of the University of Zagreb and cosponsored by WHO/Europe. The conference will address the main theme of “Modern approaches to physical activity promotion and measurements”. In 2017, EuropeActive have successfully concluded two HEPA related EU projects, ALCIS and PAHA which will be followed by the Let’s #BEACTIVE project starting in January 2018.
EuropeActive will be also monitoring the 27th European Childhood Obesity Group – Annual Congress that will take place in Rome November 15 to 17, 2017 and it will be organised under the patronage of the Italian National Institute of Health. The Programme proposes 9 scientific sessions with 12 international speakers. The ECOG will bring together paediatricians, psychologists, nutritionists, geneticists, physical activity experts, economists, etc in order to help Europeans to understand fully the health, social, psychological and economic impacts of childhood obesity.
