On Wednesday June 20th, EuropeActive took part in a panel discussion about health promotion and prevention, in Brussels.

The European Commission has published an overview of their Initiatives on nutrition and physical activity. The paper zooms in on some of the main achievements in recent years in nutrition, physical activity and healthy lifestyles. The paper also lists the relevant policy developments such as the council recommendation on health-enhancing physical activity and the Tartu Call for a healthy lifestyle from last year.

EuropeActive will participate to the 8th Conference of HEPA Europe on November 15 to 17, 2017 in Zagreb, Croatia. The event is hosted by the Faculty of Kinesiology of the University of Zagreb and cosponsored by WHO/Europe. The conference will address the main theme of “Modern approaches to physical activity promotion and measurements”.
